Our Chamber of Commerce sponsors events throughout the year including Denim Boots and Pearls, a Civil War Reenactment, and Moonlight & Music.

Fort Meade is home to the Florida Flywheelers which has events November – February each year. You don’t want to miss seeing their antique engines, pioneer village and the hayrides at Christmas when everything is decorated for the holidays.

FORT MEADE HISTORICAL MUSEUM

In Downtown Fort Meade, you can go back in time when you visit our local historical museum and train. The Historical Society has definitely captured the essence of the industry and heritage of our town.

PATTERSON PARK

With a lovely shaded sidewalk meandering around the lakes for exercise or just a stroll, Patterson Park is where the locals go. This 16+ acre park has three lakes, two floating fishing docks, comfort station and ample parking on site to be able to enjoy the gazebos and picnic tables around the park.

DOWNTOWN SHOPPING

Ready for some shopping? Make sure you do not miss a visit to our finest antique shop, Chinoiserie. Filled to the brim with beautiful pieces from the past you have only seen on TV or remember from your grandparent’s house. If you are in the mood for a burger and Coke, stop at John’s Drive-In. With a wide selection of freshly made meals, you can find something that will delight your taste buds. John’s serves Lunch and Dinner, seven days a week with daily specials and other mainstays such as fried green tomatoes, fresh grouper sandwiches and a salad bar.
